Table of Contents Templates

The Table of Contents page sits under My Content, and the menu calls it TOC Templates. It defines how your proposals are structured, with a Word tab and a PowerPoint tab.

What it is for

A template is an ordered list of sections carrying your own headings. No two firms structure a proposal the same way, and no two clients name the parts the same way either. So you settle the order and the wording once instead of rebuilding the outline for every proposal.

Each template is in a single language. A firm working in both French and English keeps two templates, one per language.

Adding or importing

New template opens the editor. Give it a Template name, choose the Title language, then Start from either Blank or the Clarido template, which pre-fills the list with the default structure.

Add a section draws on Clarido's catalogue of section types. Rename each heading as you like, and drag the rows to reorder them. The Default template — French proposals checkbox makes this the template pre-selected for proposals in that language. There is only one per language, and the list marks it Default.

On an existing template, Edit reopens the editor and Delete removes it from the list.

What Clarido does with it

When you create a proposal, the Table of contents template field appears next to the language, with Clarido (default) as the first choice. The template flagged as default for that language is pre-selected, and you can always pick another.

If the template and the proposal are not in the same language, Clarido warns you without blocking you. Section headings then stay in the template's language.

The template is a starting point, not a lock. Clarido adds the sections the RFP requires on top of it, and you adjust the outline inside the proposal.

Good to know

The template is copied into the proposal when the outline is created. Editing it later changes nothing in proposals already under way, and deleting it leaves them untouched.

You rename and reorder sections, but you do not invent new section types. That is what lets Clarido know where the team, the projects and the methodology belong.
