Methodological assets

Methodological assets hold your firm's reusable stock, the way of working you carry from one mandate to the next. You reach them from My Content, on the Methodological assets row.

What it is for

The page gathers two kinds of assets.

• Approaches — your ways of working broken into phases, each with a description, deliverables and a duration. This is the material the methodology workshop draws on to build a mandate's plan.
• Mechanisms — what you offer from one mandate to the next, like a free review or a tracking dashboard. Every row on the shelf carries its kind in one word, Approach or Mechanism.

These are reuse assets, so you adapt them freely for each proposal. They do not replace the mandate's own methodology, which is written inside the proposal.

Adding or importing

Import accepts a .docx or .pdf file, or pasted text. Name the approach, click Analyze, check the extracted phases, then Save to library. If the document carries a title of its own, Clarido offers that instead of the file name.

Add an asset asks first what you are depositing. A complete approach, in phases opens an empty editor once you have named it: nothing is added to your library until you create the approach. A mechanism you offer asks for a Name, What it does for the client in one sentence and, optionally, the document that describes it: one button creates the mechanism and keeps the document. A refused document does not undo the mechanism, which already exists; the dialog offers another file or finishing without one.

The original document

An approach and a mechanism can keep the document they came from, in Word or PDF, 48 MB at most. The Original document line, on the approach's page and in the mechanism's dialog, says which one is kept and lets you download or replace it; in the list, a download icon marks the assets that have one. Deleting the asset does not destroy the file; importing an approach keeps its file from the start.

From inside a proposal, the plan step of the Methodology tab offers Save to library, which files that mandate's plan here as a reusable approach.

What Clarido does with it

In the methodology workshop, the Your approach card offers what your library already holds. When nothing stands out clearly, Clarido picks nothing on your behalf and says so. The Your signature mechanisms card lists your mechanisms with none pre-checked, because checking one is what puts it forward. The Methodology Reference card lets you add a house methodology to shape the structure and tone of a generated section.

Everything you deposit here also becomes searchable from the My Content search bar.

Good to know

Deleting a methodology or a block leaves proposals you have already written untouched.

Under Content rules, the Banned terms page lists the words Clarido must never use. The rule covers their translations too, up to 50 terms of at most 100 characters.
